Smart Warehousing announced Tuesday the purchase of Bridge Logistics in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The acquisition will provide Smart Warehousing access to Chicago, a market new to their operation, bringing their nation-wide unique market count to ten. The purchase will also provide three additional buildings and bring over 200,000 additional square feet to their existing 7,000,000 plus. Current customers of Bridge Logistics will transition to Smart within the following thirty days. Once transitioned Smart Warehousing will manage day-to-day operations, utilizing its proprietary warehouse and inventory management system, SWIMS, which is used to facilitate operations for all of Smart’s 600+ customers around the country.

“We are excited to grow with Bridge Logistics and look forward to helping them and their current customers achieve supply chain optimization initiatives,” said Ed Lee, Chief Operating Officer. “We feel like our customizable technology solutions and strategic network footprint make us a perfect partner for new clients to achieve their goals for 2018 and beyond.”

The new operation coincides with Bridge Logistics owners retirement from their years of warehousing and logistics. Smart Warehousing looks forward to melding the Bridge Logistics family with
their own.
