Smart Warehousing CEO Meets 12-Year-Old Entrepreneurs For Warehouse Tour

Last Friday, September 20th, Smart Warehousing was visited by kcBOLD, a local t-shirt company, owned and operated by a team of six, young entrepreneurs. The boys are searching for a solution here at Smart Warehousing to distribute their Kansas City inspired apparel. On their visit, the boys met with Smart Warehousing founder and CEO, Carl Wasinger, and were taken on a tour of the 575,154 square foot warehouse facility in Edgerton, Kansas. On kcBOLD’s visit to Smart Warehousing, the boys suited up with safety vests and headed out to the warehouse floor to see how their product would be processed. Carl showed the boys where their shirts would in inbounded, stored, picked & packed, and finally outbounded on trucks. Following the warehouse tour, Smart Warehousing executives sat down with kcBOLD to learn about the origin of their company, its current structure, their product, and how Smart can help grow their business and share it with the rest of the KC community. kcBOLD was founded in 2014 by Dean and Charlie at only 8 years old. The company grew over the next several years as their friends joined the business and settled on producing apparel in 2017. The shirts and hoodies feature local sports teams, including the Chiefs, Royals and Sporting KC, along with other KC landmarks and fun designs. kcBOLD hopes to eventually expand to additional markets outside of Kansas City.
