Coast-to-Coast Expansion Strengthens National Temperature-Controlled Fulfillment Capabilities
Overland Park, KS: Smart Warehousing, a leading provider in technology-driven logistics solutions, today announced a major expansion of its cold chain footprint, reaching key U.S. markets to better serve the rising demand for cold storage and fulfillment services.
This expansion demonstrates Smart Warehousing’s commitment to enhancing its capabilities and service offerings to meet the evolving needs of its clients and partners. The increasing demand of the company’s cold chain clients — and the broader market — has driven the need for a more expansive solution. Smart Warehousing has launched temperature-controlled facilities in Florida, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Texas, Arizona, and Georgia, establishing a comprehensive national cold chain network.
The new facilities are equipped to accommodate a broad range of temperature-sensitive products, with temperature zones ranging from –40°F to 40°F. These newly added locations contribute over 1.6MM square feet to the company’s cold chain network, bringing the total to more than 3.7MM square feet. Including ambient and dry storage, Smart Warehousing’s national footprint is on pace to exceed 15MM square feet.
“Our expanded cold chain capabilities in key regions support nationwide fulfillment and efficient last-mile delivery. This newly added infrastructure, combined with our industry-leading fulfillment technology, strengthens our ability to deliver tailored solutions — especially as more brands move into direct-to-consumer,” said Carl Wasinger, Chief Executive Officer at Smart Warehousing. “We’re making sure our clients have the infrastructure and flexibility to scale, stay competitive, and deliver on rising customer expectations.”
